Una settimana piena di vento qui al Medano, siamo usciti praticamente tutti i  giorni con l’aliseo.

Un gran bel gruppo di “slalomari” italiani e tedeschi tutti a rincorrersi in baia tra una boa e l’altra tanto che a fine giornata avevo i crampi in entrambe le gambe … ho fatto due giorni a palla con la 6.3 con raffiche dai 22 ai 27 nodi. E’ stato abbastanza demoralizzante navigare con Andrea Cucchi e Vincent Langer perché mi davano sempre metri e metri di distanza però comunque un buon allenamento.

Eccomi finalmente arrivata a Tenerife…partita dall’Italia con la neve ho apprezzato tantissimo i 26 gradi di ieri!!!

Non sono mancati i problemi all’aereoporto, ovviamente  hanno perso del materiale che spero ritrovino al più presto. Ieri è stata una giornata con vento atomico da sud/sud-ovest.  Se non fosse stato per Luca Orsi e Andrea Cucchi che mi hanno prestato del materiale non sarei nemmeno uscita…dopo due mesi senza planare, in Italia e al freddo non avrei sopportato di stare tutto il giorno in spiaggia a guardare gli altri… fortunatamente i miei amici mi hanno aiutata così anche io ho potuto godere di quelle condizioni. Diciamo la verità se c’era un pò meno vento sarebbe stato meno impegnativo. In pratica sono uscita con  6.3 da slalom e il 94 litri mentre Andrea è uscito con 6.3 e 87 litri…vi lascio immaginare la mia labile soppravvivenza in acqua!!! Se non sono andata in catapulta è stato solo perchè non riuscivo nemmeno a chiudere la vela così navigavo tipo barca con spinnaker. Ma l’adrenalina del windsurf è sempre più forte di ogni difficoltà fisica e allora stai lì e cerchi di resistere pechè sai che l’altro ieri eri in mezzo alla neve con -3 gradi!!!

Ancora una settimana e si riparte…questa volta la meta è abbastanza vicina: Spagna!!! Prorio in Costa Brava si terrà la seconda tappa di slalom PWA del 2010 e la cosa più incredibile è la numerosa partecipazione delle ragazze: 20 iscritte,credo un record e la dimostrazione di come lo slalom sia tornato a dominare i campi di regate. Tra le iscritte 3 italiane che porteranno il tricolor nel race: Giorgia Brizio, Emanuela Giorgi ed io ovviamente!!!

Non vedo l’ora di essere sulla start line e di sentire il countdown nelle vene che ti pulsano ai mille in quei pochi secondi prima della bandiera verde…che belle emozioni e che sana competizione!!!

Today finally arrived my new sails…AC1 Point-7 2010 and I spent the afternoon at the Rio Pircio’s Sail Club to arm and disarm my staff. I put on the sails the stickers of my number “ITA38″ and others sponsors: Urban and Al360. On Monday I will prepare the boardbaggage..hope to make only two and stay within 32 kg each for the flight. With Korea Airline I have to pay 150 euro one way for one extrabaggage, it’s expensive but this is windsurf…if I played football I waas rich…eh eh eh!!!

Nobody thought that the wind would come today and instead we surfed all afternoon with wind from the south about 18 knods , very flat water and a beautiful deep blue and a beautiful summer sun…it was perfect for the slalom, for the best jibes that we  have done since we are here, everybody have enjoyed a lot!

We had a lot wind last days and the forecast are perfect for the next. Today was good for slalom, freestyle and also wave at the harbour. The wind was blowing 20 knods on and I used Sado 5.4 with Moreno freestyle board that Luca bought from them and I was curious to try it…so it’s nice board to do freestyle with strong wind ( 85 liter ) but for me it’s complicate here because I couldn’t do nothing, it’s really choppi and also 5 months I only do slalom…perhaps in the next life!

The last days I did wave riding and I’m happy because now I’m riding better in portack, step by step, day by day, tried and tried I could know this waves and I could learn the time and the position for so I can be more aggressive in the cut-back as the starboardtack. I also tried slalom with 30 knods but was impossible, I used 6.2 AC1 and isonic 94 but both were bigger for me, John yesterday morning has sailed with 5,7 and he is more strong then me. I wanna do slalom but is not too bad do wave!!! eh eh eh!!!

This is the condition on windguru.com for next days. The wind is strong  for all  week so I’m really happy!

Is more than a week  I go out each day with windsurf, with less wind I have been slalom and with strong wind I have been wave.

Yesterday I went out at Cabezo, I even sailed for an hour and I ended up on the rocks and I broken a batten of my sail…uff!!! So today only waveriding at the harbour.

I’m leaving on 16 April so any time I want to get into the water because who knows if ther will be windy in Italy!!!

I’m waiting to check the pics on the John blogs that  his girlfriend Federica took fo him today…and I’m really curious because I know are nices!!!

Here a nice video about me in a wave riding session that had make in front of Medano beach where usually is good with nord-east wind…but wherever the weather this winter has been strange …here the temperature was above average thanks to the warm south wind for so we had sailing a lot time in the starboardtack conditiones.
